Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal, who hasn’t played for almost a year due to a hip injury, revealed on Friday that he’s making a comeback. He announced it on social media, saying, “After a year away, I’m returning to competition in Brisbane in January. See you there!”

Nadal, a 22-time Grand Slam winner, last played in the Australian Open in January, where he reached the second round. Following surgeries and a drop to 663rd in the world rankings, Nadal aims to make a comeback in Australia, eyeing the French Open, a tournament he’s won 14 times. The 37-year-old declared in September that the 2024 season would be his last.
