K Chandrasekhar Rao, the former chief minister of Telangana and BRS chief, suffered injuries in a fall at his Erravalli farmhouse. His leg slipped, leading to the incident, resulting in a broken left hip bone. Rao is now receiving treatment at Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad’s Somajiguda. There are indications that he may need surgery for the suspected fracture. Currently, doctors are conducting tests, and his health condition is reported as stable. BRS MLC K Kavitha provided an update, mentioning that Rao is under expert care at the hospital.
After his party lost in the November 30 Assembly elections, KCR moved to his farmhouse. He resigned to Governor Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan and left the residence and office he had used for nine years. In the last few days, KCR met party leaders at the farmhouse.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed concern about KCR’s injuries, taking to the microblogging site X to write, “Distressed to know that former Telangana CM Shri KCR Garu has suffered an injury. I pray for his speedy recovery and good health.”
KCR’s aspiration to become the first hat-trick chief minister in South India was thwarted as the grand old party Congress secured a landslide victory in the Telangana Assembly polls.
