Prime Minister Narendra Modi is prepared to inaugurate two Amrit Bharat Express trains from Ayodhya on Saturday. According to railway officials, these trains are equipped with aerodynamically designed engines. The Amrit Bharat Express has an attractive orange and blue color scheme. Each side is adorned with a WAP5 locomotive, providing the convenience of push-pull operation, resulting in increased speed and reduced travel time.

The Darbhanga-Anand Vihar Amrit Bharat Express, with 22 coaches, includes eight general second-class coaches for unreserved passengers, twelve second-class sleeper coaches, and two guard compartments.

Fare

The current price of the last ticket for the Darbhanga-Anand Vihar Amrit Bharat Express is currently unknown as it is not available on the IRCTC website.

Schedule

Train number 15557 will depart from Darbhanga every Monday and Thursday at 3:00 PM. It is expected to reach Anand Vihar Terminal Station in Delhi at 12:35 PM the next day, with a total travel time of 21 hours and 35 minutes.

The train will make stops at various stations, including Katoul, Janakpur Road, Sitamarhi, Bairgania, Raxaul, Narkatiaganj, Bagaha, Kaptanganj, Gorakhpur, Basti, Manakapur, Ayodhya Dham, Lucknow, Kanpur Central, Etawah, Tundla, Aligarh Junction, and finally Anand Vihar Terminal.

Amenities

During this journey, a modern three-story building has been constructed at Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station, costing more than ₹240 crores. The station is equipped with advanced facilities such as lifts, escalators, a food plaza, and a childcare room. Importantly, the station has been certified as a Green Station Building by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), ensuring inclusivity for all.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate two Amrit Bharat trains: the Darbhanga-Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal Amrit Bharat Express and the Malda Town-Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal Amrit Bharat Express.

Additionally, six new Vande Bharat trains will contribute to the expansion of the country’s railway network. Vande Bharat Express trains will operate on various routes, including Ayodhya-Anand Vihar Terminal, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi, Amritsar-Delhi, Coimbatore-Bengaluru Cantt, Mangalore-Madgaon, and Jalna-Mumbai.

Moreover, the North Railways stated that ₹241 crores have been spent on the construction of a three-story building and new facilities at a station located at a walking distance from the Ram Mandir.

“The footprint of the new station building is 140mx32.6m. An additional front porch of 140mx12m has been provided at the drop-off zone to save passengers from inclement weather conditions,” it said.
